He is a Physics graduate. He has distinguished himself as perhaps the most noted Dawah activist in Kerala with his innovative approaches in introducing Islam in conducting speeches, seminars and debates with scholars of other religions as well as atheists and communists. He pursued further studies at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia majoring in Hadith. After graduating in 1978, he joined the Muslim Welfare Organization, ‘Perkin', in Malaysia, which focuses on the well being of the new converts to Islam. Later he seconded as director of Islamic centre in Hong Kong.

With his vast experience in Islamic Social Welfare and Da'wah work, he founded Al Khadim with a group of volunteers in 1984. He also studied under one of the great scholars on Hadith of his time, Sheikh Muhammad Nasiruddin Al Albani. Today, Ustaz Muhammad Hussain Ye is a well-known personality in the Islamic world. He gives regular lectures in the Asia Pacific region and conducts a lot of summer camps in UK and Europe by the invitation of local and international organizations.

Powerhouse of knowledge, kindness and leadership, Shaykh Said Rageah is the esteemed Founder of Oasis magazine, Youth Hotline, Orphans Matter, Muslim Youth Camp, Muslim Student Loan Foundation and Muslim Basketball Association.

Born in Somalia and raised in Saudi Arabia, Shaykh Said earned his B.A in Islamic Studies and Masters in Shari’ah from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Fairfax, Virginia. He studied under prominent Scholars like Shaykh Abdul Aziz Al Fowzan, Shaykh Yusuf Ashubaily, Shaykh AlKhudair, Shaykh Rashid Aladawni and Shaykh Fahad al Alhaoud. Before moving to Canada, Shaykh Said founded and served as Imaam of Masjid Aya in Maryland and established IQ Qur’an Institute.

In Canada, he worked as a counselor at the University of Calgary and Muslim Chaplain in the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Shaykh Said Rageah moved to Toronto where he is the Imaam of Abu Huraira Islamic Center, Instructor at Al-Maghrib Institute and Director of Ummah Times Magazine. He is married and has four daughters and two sons. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and playing basketball with his boys (students).

His quest finally led him to read the Quran, which astounded him with it’s simple message of universal brotherhood of mankind. Qur’an recognizes all human beings as equal and children of Adam who were made from dust.

The Quran does not prefer a race, colour or culture, but gives importance to obeying the One True Creator. Shaykh Abdur Raheem Green embraced Islam in 1987 and has been involved in Dawah work ever since. He calls people to the faith in hope that others will be inspired to righteous actions, and find the same peace which he enjoys today. He continues to lecture at the renowned “Speaker’s Corner” in London’s Hyde Park, Peace TV and at the Islam Channel. He enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking and skiing.
